Having recently joined the Federation of Small Businesses, C&A Pumps were invited to exhibit our products and services at the North East Region Green 4 Go event, held at Nissan Sports & Social Club and Conference Centre.

Green 4 Go was an exhibition that celebrated the low carbon economy businesses in the North East and also gave other businesses the chance to find out how they can reduce carbon and save money.
Kevin Fitzpatrick, Vice President of Nissan Manufacturing UK, officially opened the exhibition and talked about Nissan’s new Leaf electric car (two of which were on display) and how local Small to Medium Enterprises become part of the Nissan supply chain.
There were over 30 companies represented at the exhibition, and two workshops were also held during the day. These were:
- ‘Opportunities in the Low Carbon Economy’ presented by Stuart Smith of innovation company Wood Holmes
- ‘Improve Your Supply Chain to Reduce Carbon and Costs’ presented by NAC Group PLC
The event coincided with the FSB Regional AGM and annual dinner which were held after the exhibition closed. C&A Pumps were represented at the dinner by four members of staff which allowed for further networking while having an enjoyable meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
The annual dinner included an introduction from Si Bales, Managing Director of Bdaily, and a speech and Q&A session with North East Local Enterprise Partnership board member Fiona Cruickshank OBE.
